i have been writing to you and about you since the day i knew of your existence. i want to remember everything, each step of the way. we're almost halfway there now and it's going so fast. i can't wait to meet you, to see who you are, to call you by name. but i just want to cherish these moments of being privileged to carry you. this is, in fact, the only time in my life that i will have this unique bond with YOU. it blows me away that you are a new person who is about to be a part of our every day lives, whom we haven't met or seen yet, who will dramatically change what we do everyday, who will take precedence over everyone and everything else, who has a personality all your own just waiting to blossom. i can hardly wait to watch your life happen. it will be wonderful, there's no doubt about that. i felt your movement for the first time last week. at first, it was just a little drum beat right in the middle of my tummy. now, it's all over and i'm pretty sure you're not just kicking. you're rolling. especially in the evening when i'm snuggling with your daddy. because of that, daddy says you're going to be his snuggle bug. you are still all day and like to play in the evening, night and early morning. i'd better be prepared if you continue this habit. in two weeks, we get to catch a tiny glimpse of you and make sure you're healthy and strong. we're not peeking to see what you are. you get to give us that surprise on the day of your birth. baby, you have so many anxious to meet you. it won't be long!
