we're on the verge of packing up our pumpkins and silk leaves that are sitting amongst the Christmas decor.  it slowly, somehow snuck up from the basement as I fought the pre-Thanksgiving urge to decorate.  we celebrated two birthdays this fall, enjoyed a trip to the pumpkin patch, a getaway to Kansas City, trips to the zoo, trick-or-treating, and lots of leaf clean up that comes with living in an old neighborhood.

T-Rex Cafe, followed by the stomach flu for me

Trick-or-Treating through Great Wolf Lodge and a bedtime story

the trip was pretty awful for me, but the kids had a great time!  fortunately, I mustered up enough strength to sit in an uncomfortable beach chair to hold little man for a nap.

it's fun to see them playing and rough housing together!

this sweetheart is 14 months old today.  he has almost 8 teeth, loves turning anything into a phone, blows kisses, is called a girl more often than not, is super snuggly, has to take a moment periodically while playing to come give hugs, says one word (mama) and has some strong opinions already (examples include: staring dad down waiting for him to walk away after he put a banana on his tray so that he could eat in solitude, not wanting my hand on his side while he's sitting at the piano bench, food must be presented to him in the same form that the other three members of the family are eating it, none of this cut up into pieces baby stuff, mom.)  it is so fun to see his personality emerging, and mom and dad are gonna help develop that strong will for some good :)
